In this first episode of season #2, we talk with Alex Leake (she/her), who currently leads the Marketing Research & Insights team at Mozilla, working to identify market opportunities and consumer pain points for future marketing and product development. She has used her sociological research skills in corporate settings for 10+ years (energy, tech UX research) and recommends getting involved during your undergrad to understand the applicability of sociology.
Alex is a researcher and strategist who helps companies understand people and markets in order to solve problems and make consumer lives better. Alex graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin for a Masters degree in Advertising. Alex has over 10 years of experience working in Market Research using different research methods to help inform product development, product positioning, strategy and marketing across multiple industries.
